Erling Haaland Fires City to Dominant Victory, Securing Title Charge

Premier League Champions Maintain Course for Fourth Consecutive Triumph

London - Manchester City's Erling Haaland continued his breathtaking start to the Premier League season with four goals in a 5-1 thrashing of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, keeping the defending champions firmly on course for a fourth successive title.

Haaland's remarkable scoring exploits saw him become the first player in Premier League history to score three consecutive hat-tricks, further cementing his status as one of the world's most lethal strikers.

Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui was left in awe of Haaland's performance, saying, "He's a different player, he's from another planet. We tried to stop him, but he was very clever, very good in the box, and with just one action, he can change the game."

City's victory extends their lead at the top of the Premier League table to five points over second-placed Arsenal, who face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Pep Guardiola's side has now won six of their last seven league games, scoring 22 goals in the process.

Haaland's goalscoring form has been instrumental in City's recent resurgence, and he now has 19 goals in all competitions this season.

The Norwegian striker opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a clinical finish from Kevin De Bruyne's cross. He doubled City's lead just before half-time with a powerful header from Joao Cancelo's delivery.

Wolves pulled a goal back through Joao Moutinho in the second half, but Haaland completed his hat-trick with two more goals in quick succession. Riyad Mahrez added a fifth for City to seal the resounding victory.
